Our Activities

Taalim

The Masjid is committed to nurturing Islamic knowledge through regular taʿlīm and teaching circles designed to strengthen faith and understanding. Our programs focus on Qur’an study, prophetic teachings (sīrah and hadith), essential beliefs and practices, and practical guidance for daily life.

Worship

At Masjid Muhajirun wal Ansar, we strive to maintain a strong, consistent rhythm of worship rooted in the daily remembrance of Allah. The mosque hosts the five daily prayers in congregation as well as Jumuah Salat.

Outreach

We are committed to meaningful outreach and daʿwah, inviting others to learn about Islam through compassion, clarity, and genuine human connection. Over the years, many individuals have embraced Islam at the masjid, guided by sincere conversations, supportive mentorship, and the inspiring example of a caring community.

About Us

For nearly 30 years, Masjid Muhajirun wal Ansar has been an active pillar of the Moncks Corner and greater Charleston community. Founded through the dedication and generosity of Sheikh Harun Faye (May Allah have mercy on him) and Ummu Aisha Faye, the masjid was among the earliest established houses of worship for Muslims in the Charleston area. From its beginnings, it has served as a spiritual home, a center of learning, and a gathering place for families seeking connection, faith, and community service. Today, the mosque continues to build upon this legacy with a steadfast commitment to worship, education, and unity.

Quran School

“The community offers a place of healing and renewal through the remembrance of Allah.  It is a place where people rediscover hope, purpose, and the tranquility that comes from drawing closer to Allah.”
